Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter is a well-known American actor also known as a producer, director and actress. Her name has been acknowledged for films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles and The Incredibles. The movie Piano won her several awards including an Oscar. The talented actress began her career in acting in the theatre through a variety of Broadway as well as Off-Broadway productions. As a child, Helen Keller was her favorite character in a 5th grade production. Mumps made her lose hearing in one her ears, but this did not stop her from following her dreams. While in college, she studied drama after which she relocated in New York City with her ambitions with her sights set. Through a random encounter, she was stuck in an elevator with writer Beth Henley and the two collaborated in the Broadway Crimes of the Heart' which became Hunter's debut. As she relocated to Los Angeles, Hunter tried to get films to play. An supporting role was found for her in Swing Shift. In the years since, she has been in a variety of television series and movies throughout a span of more than 30 years. Holly Hunter has a Hollywood Walk of Fame star as well as the Women in Film Lucy Award.
