Holly Hunter, an American actress and film producer is well-known for her stellar performances in movies like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. The film Piano earned her an Oscar. Her acting career began with Broadway by performing in a range of Broadway and Off Broadway productions. From the time she was a child she's always been enthusiastic in the field of acting. She portrayed Helen Keller as a fifth-grade student in a school play. Mumps led her to lose hearing in one her ear, however this didn't stop the actress from following her dreams. As a teenager she studied drama, before moving in New York City. Hunter was trapped in the lift of playwright Beth Henley when she met her.
